Life on Mars.

The television phenomenon is being reimagined as an original stage play.

A NEW STORY · MADE FOR THE STAGE

Manchester detective Sam Tyler wakes after a car accident to find himself in 1973, working under the uncompromising DCI Gene Hunt. Twenty years after the television series began, its world is being opened again for the stage.

Original creators Matthew Graham, Ashley Pharoah and Tony Jordan are reuniting to write an entirely new theatrical story with director and producer Jamie Eastlake. This is not the cancelled television sequel Lazarus, nor a simple retelling. The ambition is to push the boundaries of Life on Mars and discover what its characters, humour and questions can become in a live theatrical space.
