The revolution will be catered. One dinner lady, one broken team, one chance to change everything.

MINCE · MASH · A MISSION
The revolution will be catered.
In a forgotten town stitched together with broken bus shelters and fading murals of past glory, one woman wants to change everything. A teenage football squad charges through a world of projected noise: collapsing housing estates, Instagram hearts fluttering like confetti, graffiti glowing like prophecy. This is England, but skewed.
Blue jeans, a whistle and a Neil Diamond playlist. Big Ange, the dinner lady, has got this. Following sell out runs of Gerry & Sewell at Laurels, Live Theatre and Newcastle Theatre Royal, Olivier Award winning Jamie Eastlake's play explores growing up in a fractured political world. With footy, obviously.

What they said.
★★★★★
“This show is totally recommended. It is like the North East itself: full of heart and humour with headstrong, powerful women at the centre.”
“If you're after a play that blends very real political tensions, a smattering of pop classics, great writing and real heart, you need to run not walk to see Big Ange.”
